Wild Flower Mini Session Clothing Guide
We popped along to the locations yesterday afternoon to see how they are doing, the Oxeye Daisies are looking LUSH right now and the location offers a lovely range of backdrops. Here’s Alice looking for the Gruffalo. A blue and dark green colour palette works beautifully here don’t you think?
So you’ve booked your session, now what? To get the best from your images we need to co-ordinate your outfits to compliment the natural beauty of your surroundings. At the moment ZARA UK just released a sale last night on summer outfits! H&M also have a members pre sale going on (free postage if you sign up to become a member too)! Here is a moodpboard to give you an idea of what colours work best with the daisy field. Pick one colour then use that as a feature to run through a couple your outfits, the example below I have used the orange. Then use neutral colours to build up the outfits with a splash of the blue to help you all pop out but still compliment the flower backdrop.
The Poppy location is in full bloom so i’m going to be scouting for backup locations next week around a 30 minute radius of Cambourne, Cambridgeshire just incase we need to switch locations but this is the kind of tones you are looking at post production, they are gorgeous aren’t they!
The best colours here are warmer tones mixed with black, see the mood board below for example, I’d advise footwear to be boots here as there are a few thistles to avoid here but nothing too major. Browns, sand, camel are all best friends with black and off white :) TIP I always start building a collection of outfits with mums outfit first. If you are not happy then you will not love the photos as much :)
Hope this has been useful and I can’t wait to meet you all in just over a week! The weather is also looking like its going to behave too :) There is still time to jump on these if you hurry I have a couple of wild flower mini sessions left in the store, link below.
